Physical Fitness Test: |
A physical fitness test is required for registration, annual renewal and upgrading for referee grade 7 and grades 5 & 6. Referees at the grade level above must take a fitness test annually to maintain their current grade. The annual maintenance requirements for a grade 7 and grade 5 & 6:
• In service training: 5 hours (grade 7) and 10 hours (grade 5 & 6) during the preceding 12 months.
Endurance - 12 minute run (Under age 38; minimum distance: 2200 meters = approximately 5-1/2 laps).
If the June and November upgrade clinics have passed and you need to schedule a physical fitness test, you can contact Arturo Angeles at aangeles@calsouth.com or 626.354.7239. Let him know the name of the city in which you live and the name of your referee association. |
| Upgrade Process: |
Any referee interested in upgrading from their current grade must complete the following:
• Register for the upgrade clinic online. Upgrade clinics are offered two times each year in June and November or as needed. At the upgrade clinic you can complete the physical fitness test and written exam. To register for an upgrade clinic click here.
- Grade 8 going to grade 7: one center (U17 or higher)
