Finals Results
July 15, 2012 (Sacramento, CA) - Cal South teams captured 4 out of 8 championship trophies Sunday morning at the 2012 US Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup in Sacramento. Cal South had all five of its participating teams taking part in the finals matches today. Cal South has now won 10 National Presidents Cup titles overall in the four years the competition has been held.
Preliminary matches took place from Thursday, July 12 through Saturday, July 14, with each team in each age bracket playing three matches.
Cal South has five teams in the National Presidents Cup, each of which won their bracket at the US Youth Soccer Region IV Presidents Cup in Arvada, Colorado in June. Cal South teams won three National Presidents Cup championships during last year's competition, and collected six trophies overall through the first three years of the event.
The Cal South Board of Directors recently announced that $6,000 would be donated to each of the five Cal South teams attending this event to help with traveling expenses.
