From the U.S. Soccer Communications Center: U.S. Soccer Winter National Coaching Schools to Take Place in January Across the United States
CHICAGO (Nov. 1, 2010) - U.S. Soccer's Coaching Department will conduct National Coaching Schools for "A", "B", "C" and Goalkeeping License Courses in Arizona, California and Florida. Registration for each course opened on Friday, Oct. 29, after a pre-registration period for active members of CoachesNet, U.S. Soccer's official coaches club. Current CoachesNet members had the the first opportunity to register for the winter courses beginning on Oct. 27. Register Now for CoachesNet Participants at U.S. Soccer's National Coaching Schools will have an opportunity to earn a nationally recognized license from U.S. Soccer, one of the most prestigious credentials a coach can hold in this country. The National "A" License course will take place from Jan. 2-10, 2011, at the University of Tampa in Tampa, Fla., and The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif. During the same time, the National "B" and "C" License courses will be offered at IMG Academies in Bradenton, Fla., and Grande Sports World in Casa Grande, Ariz. The National Goalkeeping License course will run Jan. 23-30, 2011 at The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif. U.S. Soccer will also run two "A" Audit specific courses from Jan. 2-8 for current "A" license coaches looking to renew their license. Coaches can register to take the course at The Home Depot Center or at IMG Academies. The "A" Audit course is separate from the "A" License course and focuses on the latest trends in soccer through guest lecturers and incorporating U.S. National Teams. Participants at U.S. Soccer's National Coaching Schools will have a chance to learn from some of the nation's top-level instructors, including current and former national team, professional and international coaches. The licensing programs are focused on teaching soccer coaches up-to-date theoretical and practical knowledge to provide coaches with the ability to improve the every day training environment for elite players and help them fulfill their potential as international, professional, collegiate or youth soccer players.
