ELECTION NOMINATION FORMS MAILED TO ALL CAL SOUTH LEAGUE PRESIDENTS TODAY
Board of Directors' Positions up for Election in 2010:
President, Vice President of Adults, Secretary, Commissioners for Districts 2, 4 & 6


FULLERTON, CA (September 11, 2009) - Nomination forms and official notices for the upcoming Elections of District Commissioner and Cal South Officer positions went out via the mail today (Sept. 11) to the presidents of all approved Cal South leagues. The nomination deadline for all positions up for election is October 19, 2009.

Transparency is fundamental to the Cal South Nomination Committee's processes. The following provides information in accordance with our bylaws on the entire nominations process and timeline therein:

Board of Directors' Positions Up for Election in 2010:
President, Vice President of Adults, Secretary, Commissioners for Districts 2, 4 & 6

Cal South Annual General Meeting (AGM):February 14, 2010, Sunday at the Los Angeles Convention Center

The Cal South Nominations Committee has approved the following timeline which was developed to align with the Cal South Bylaws, league board activity and avoid holiday absences as much as possible.

CALSOUTH 2010 NOMINATIONS CALENDAR

District Commissioners - District 2, 4 & 6

  • September 11, 2009, Friday: Notice of Election and Request for Nomination
  • October 19, 2009, Monday : Nomination Deadline
  • October 20, 2009, Tuesday: Contacting Potential Candidates per policy
  • November 2, 2009, Monday: Policy requirements (Conflict of Interest Disclosure, Risk Management…) and bio statements due
  • November 3-5, 2009, Tuesday - Thursday: Committee review and recommendations
  • November 6, 2009, Friday: Slate of candidates submitted to board for approval
  • November 7, 2009, Saturday: Official board approval of slate of candidates at regular board meeting
  • November 9, 2009, Monday: Potential candidate notification and explanation of approval or denial of ballot candidacy
  • November 13, 2009, Friday: Ballots & bios mailed (meets 10 day minimum requirement)
  • January 6, 2010, Wednesday: Ballot deadline
  • January 7, 2010, Thursday: Election day, ballots counted
  • January 8, 2010, Friday: District Commissioners announced
