Soccer Nation Expo will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center on February 16-17, 2013. While Soccer Nation Expo and its many interactive areas and exhibitor booths are free to the general public, there are other events such as our coaching clinics and VIP classroom sessions, most of which require a VIP Coach Pass to attend.

For only $35, the VIP Coach Pass, presented by the LA Galaxy, is available to any soccer coach who is interested in improving their training techniques, learning new game strategies from world class coaching talent, or networking with other coaches from all over Southern California. The VIP Coach Pass is available for purchase to all coaches, whether they are registered with Cal South, AYSO, or other state, national or international associations.

As a VIP Coach Pass holder, you will gain access to special reserved seating around the "AstroTurf VIP Coach Pitch" area at Soccer Nation Expo 2013, where you will be able to take in live coaching clinics featuring skills and drills taught by world class coaches from all over the world. Scheduled to Appear at Soccer Nation Expo 2013

Ian Barker
NSCAA Director of Coaching
Barker is the Director of Coaching for the NSCAA (National Soccer Coaches Association of America). Barker previously served as the head coach for the men's program at Macalester College, where his record over nine years was 97-59-15. Overall, through his 13 years within the program, the Scots posted a 152-74-21 record with six conference championships, one MIAC playoff title, and six appearances in the NCAA Division III playoffs. Barker served as the Director of Coaching for the Minnesota Youth Soccer Association from 1997-2007. He was also a men's assistant coach at the University of Wisconsin from 1989-97, where he helped the Badgers to four NCAA tournament appearances in a five-year span. The 1995 team won the Big 10 title and claimed the NCAA national championship.

Andres Chitiva
C.F. Pachuca
Andres Chitiva made his name in the Mexican League for over a decade as a renowned left-winger for C.F. Pachuca (2001-2011). He began his career in 1997 with Millonarios in his hometown of Bogotá, Colombia. In 2001, Chitiva was signed by Mexico's C.F. Pachuca. Chitiva proved to be a driving force in the team's four domestic Mexican titles (2001, 2003, 2006, and 2007), making him a hero to the Pachuca fans. In 2006, Chitiva helped lead Pachuca to its historic capture of the Copa Sudamericana - the first intercontinental title victory for a Mexican side. In 2011, Chitiva retired as one of the most notable players in Pachuca´s history.

Tony DiCicco
NSCAA
DiCicco is the former U.S. Women's National Team head coach who led the team to their historic 1999 FIFA World Cup championship. He guided the U.S. women from 1994 through 1999, collecting a 1996 Olympic gold medal in that run as well. He is the all-time wins leader and most successful coach in U.S. National Team history, with an overall record of 103-8-8. DiCicco served in a variety of positions such as COO, Commissioner and Re-launch Chairman for WUSA from 2000-2004, and since 2009 has served as the head coach for the Boston Breakers of the WPS. In 2008, he coached the US Women's U20 squad to the FIFA U20 World Cup Championship in Chile. DiCicco has worked as a soccer match and studio analyst for ESPN's women's soccer coverage since 2000, and has also served in that aspect for NBC during the Olympics.

Jillian Ellis
U.S. Soccer Women's Development Director
Jillian Ellis is the current U.S. Soccer Women's Development Director. Ellis also served briefly as the interim coach of U.S. Women's National Team following the departure of Pia Sundhage in October 2012, with the team finishing with 5 wins, 2 draws, and no losses. At the time of her appointment to interim coach, Ellis was the assistant coach to Sundhage. Ellis had a highly successful 12-year run as the head women's soccer coach for the UCLA Bruins. Ellis led UCLA to eight NCAA Final Fours, including seven in a row from 2003-2009, and won six straight Pacific-12 Conference titles from 2003-2008. She finished her stint at UCLA with a record of 229-45-14. She was the 2000 NSCAA National Coach of the Year after leading the Bruins to the NCAA Final in just her second season as head coach. Ellis has an USSF "A" coaching license.

Laura Harvey
Seattle Reign & Arsenal Ladies FC Head Coach
Laura Harvey was recently named as the first head coach for the Seattle Reign of the new National Women's Soccer League, which will begin play in 2013. Harvey previously served as the first-team coach for the Arsenal Ladies FC, after serving as an assistant coach for two years. Harvey led Arsenal to the last-ever Women's Premier League title after taking over midway through the 2009-10 season and followed that up with a domestic treble in 2011, winning the inaugural FA WSL title, FA Cup and Continental Cup that year. In 2012, her Arsenal side went undefeated through the regular season. She also assisted and then coached Birmingham City L.F.C. from 2002-2008, and served as an assistant coach for England's U-17, U-19 and U-23 women's national teams from 2005-2011.

Steve Hoffman
Cal South Director of Coaching Education & Player Development
Cal South's Director of Coaching Education, ODP and Player Development, Steve Hoffman is a National Staff Coach and a US Youth Soccer staff coach, where he coaches in the Region IV Olympic Development Program each summer. He is the head coach of the Ventura College women's soccer program, where he has led them to Western State Conference Championship titles 13 times in the last 15 years. Coach Hoffman currently possesses a USSF 'A' license and a USSF National Youth Coaching License. Hoffman is a member of the NSCAA and USSF Coaches Association of America.

Romeo Jozak
GNK Dinamo Zagreb Youth Academy Director
Romeo Jozak is the Head of Technical Development and the Youth National Teams for the Croatian Football Federation, as well as lecturer, mentor, executive board member and the chairman of their Technical Committee. He also serves as the Academy Director for GNK Dinamo Zagreb, one of the most successful pro clubs in Croatian league history. He is a Technical Instructor and Technical Observer for UEFA as well, and holds a UEFA Pro coaching license. He began his coaching career at the age of 26, and has vast worldwide experience coaching and installing academy programs on several continents.

Gavin Makel
Manchester City F.C.
Since joining Manchester City in 2008, Gavin has carried out a number of roles, including being recently appointed the Schemes' Football Development Manager. He possesses a UEFA "B" coaching license and has managed programs in a number of countries such as Sudan and the United States of America.

Jay Mathews
CB3 Sports Performance & Soccer Academy
Jay Mathews is a sports medicine professional with a wealth of athletic training and sports performance experience. He is currently the General Manager and Director of Sports Performance for CB3 Sports Performance and Soccer Academy. Jay was the Head Athletic Trainer for the Chicago Fire from 2002 thru 2005 and the Columbus Crew from 2007 thru 2009. During 2009, Jay was also the Head Strength and Fitness Coach. During his time in MLS, teams he worked with won three Supporter's Shields, one US Open Cup and one MLS Cup. Jay was the 2003 Athletic Trainer of the Year in MLS.

Pat Noonan
L.A. Galaxy Assistant Coach
A 10-year MLS veteran, Noonan's teams reached the MLS Cup five times, and helped the Columbus Crew win their first championship in 2008 and the Galaxy win their second straight title last season. Noonan was recently named as an assistant coach on Bruce Arena's coaching staff. An All-Star in 2004 when he finished tied for the MLS scoring lead with career-highs of 11 goals and eight assists, Noonan won the U.S. Open Cup three times during his career, helping the New England Revolution to their first Open Cup title in 2007 before winning the tournament again with Seattle in 2010 and 2011. He collected 14 caps in his international career with the U.S. National Team. He holds a U.S. Soccer Federation "B" coaching license.

Paul Ratcliffe
Stanford University Women's Head Coach
Paul Ratcliffe is the most successful coach in more than 100 years of Stanford soccer, among men or women. In 2012, Ratcliffe was named Pac-12 Conference Coach of the Year for the fifth consecutive season, after leading the Cardinal to its fourth consecutive conference title, and fifth consecutive NCAA College Cup. In 2011, he led Stanford to its first NCAA women's soccer championship, a third consecutive NCAA final. Four of his former players competed in the 2012 London Olympics and six appeared in the 2011 World Cup, and has coached four different national players of the year. In 2011, Ratcliffe earned his third NSCAA National Coach of the Year honor, and fourth consecutive Pacific Region Coach of the Year award. Ratcliffe is Stanford's winningest soccer coach, with a 179-37-20 record.

Hans Westerhof
C.F. Pachuca Technical Director
Hans Westerhof is a Dutch football coach who currently serves as the technical director at C.F. Pachuca. In his playing career, Westerhof played for BV Veendam and BVO Cambuur of the Dutch First Division. He began his coaching career in 1986, and has managed Groningen (1988-1992 and 1994-1996), PSV Eindhoven (1992-1994), the Dutch U-21 national team (1996-1997), Ajax Amsterdam (2000), Willem II Tilburg (2000-2003), Chivas de Guadalajara (2003-2004, 2006), and Necaxa (2007-2008).

Alex Williams MBE
Manchester City F.C.
Alex has been involved at Manchester City F.C. for over 30 years, including his playing career, where from 1981 to 1985, Alex played 142 games as Manchester City's goalkeeper. Alex was considered one the of best young goalkeepers in England during this period, leading him to represent the England national team at both U18 and U21 level s, winning European Championship medals with both age groups. After retiring as a player, Alex involved himself in working with the community, and after a brief stint at Port Vale FC, was appointed Head of City in the Community, Manchester City FC's registered charity in 1990. Alex was awarded the prestigious MBE honor by HRH Prince Charles for services to the Community. Alex continues to work in the game as a coach holding both FA 'A' Licenses for Goalkeeping and Outfield, as well as being a qualified assessor for the English Football Association, delivering coaching courses on their behalf.

The AstroTurf VIP Coach Pitch special seating section, VIP Classroom sessions and VIP Coach Lounge area are open to VIP Coach Pass purchasers ONLY, and NOT to any family members, children or friends that accompany the purchaser to the show. The rest of Soccer Nation Expo is open and free to the general public, with plenty of FREE interactive activities to keep your family entertained all day while you soak up the coaching knowledge.

Once you have purchased your VIP Coach Pass, the passes will be available to be picked up starting at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 16, 2013 or from 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, February 17, 2013 in the lobby of Hall K in the South Hall of the Los Angeles Convention Center. You will be given your VIP Coach Pass and goodie bag at that time. When going through the online registration process, you will need to complete payment of your VIP Coach Pass in order to be considered as a VIP Coach Pass holder. You will only receive an email confirmation of your order by completing the payment process.
