Cal South National Cup has been held annually since 1978, and has also been known previously as the Cal South National Preliminary Cup.

Cal South National Cup is the primary springboard by which Cal South teams can advance through the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series. Champions at the National Cup (U12-U19) move forward to the US Youth Soccer Far West Regionals in June, and then champions there (U13-U19) advance to the US Youth Soccer National Championships in July.

Teams can choose whether to play for Cal South National Cup or Cal South State Cup, but there are strict guidelines as to which teams may play in which division of State Cup. To see where your team lies in our updated play level guide, click here.
