Tournament Applications

Any non-league match in which fees are charged, with the exception of a mutual sharing of standard referee fees, shall be considered a tournament and will therefore require appropriate Cal South sanctioning.

HOW TO APPLY FOR TOURNAMENT SANCTIONING
Tournament Directors are required to review the Tournament Manual of Operations before submitting the Application to Host a Tournament: Tournament Manual (revised 7/08)

A COMPLETE APPLICATION INCLUDES:

1. Cal South Application for Tournament Sanctioning
2. Receipt & Affidavit of Compliance
3. Tournament Referee Affidavit
4. Referee Agreement
5. US Youth Soccer Application to Host a Tournament or Games
6. US Youth Soccer Tournament Hosting Agreement
7. $100 league check payable to Cal South (if late, submit an additional $500 late fee)

IF FOREIGN TEAMS ARE INVITED, THE FOLLOWING MUST BE SUBMITTED WITH ALL ITEMS LISTED ABOVE:

10.U.S. Soccer International Tournament/Games Hosting Agreement (HTED 3-03)
11.$75 league check payable to U.S. Soccer

ELIGIBILITY FOR TOURNAMENT SANCTIONING
Tournament Applications must be submitted by a League of Registration in good standing with Cal South. Returning tournament applications will be considered in light of their reporting documents from the previous years. IF YOU HAVE NOT SUBMITTED LAST YEAR'S REPORTING DOCUMENTS, PLEASE DO SO BEFORE APPLYING FOR TOURNAMENT SANCTIONING.

APPLICATION DEADLINES
The Cal South Board of Directors considers Sanctioned Tournament Applications at four meetings each year.
The deadlines are as follows:

April 15 | Eligible for approval at the May meeting.
April 30 | Eligible for approval at the June meeting.

October 15 | Eligible for approval at the November meeting.
October 31 | Eligible for approval at the December meeting.


TOURNAMENTS MUST BE SANCTIONED BY MID-NOVEMBER IN ORDER TO APPEAR IN THE TOURNAMENT GUIDE

October 15th is the final application submission deadline for tournaments to be included in the Cal South Tournament Guide.

PLEASE NOTE: Applications submitted during other times of the year to be approved at the January, February, March, April, July, August, September, or October meetings must be submitted with a $500 late fee in order to be considered.
