CB3 Sports Performance and Cal South Team Up
August 20, 2012 (Fullerton, CA) - Cal South and CB3 Sports Performance and Soccer Academy announced today they have signed a three-year agreement in which CB3 will provide soccer-specific sports performance guidance to Cal South's membership. Carlos Bocanegra, U.S. Men's National Team Captain and Cal South alum, is a founding partner of CB3.
Cal South President Johnnie Garza says the agreement expands Cal South's resources for its members. "Performance training in soccer for both greater skill and injury prevention is an area that has gained prominence over the last few years. Working with Carlos and his incredible staff will insure that Cal South members have access to the most up-to-date and relevant training information. Carlos brings his years of experience on the global stage back home to Cal South with a deep understanding of what it takes to perform at soccer's highest levels."
Bocanegra believes performance training and soccer go hand in hand now. "Performance is becoming a necessity to have that extra edge and compete against other players, teams, and countries. We are very excited to partner up with Cal South, a leader in soccer around the country. We will work together to elevate the top players in the country to an even higher level. Players will experience the full professional package, and train just like I do with the U.S. National Team and European clubs. Something we did not have when I was growing up playing in Cal South, but proud to be able to offer the services now."
Under the terms of the agreement, CB3 will be the preferred Sports Performance Training Partner of Cal South. Performance tips will be provided to Cal South members each month in a section of the Cal South E-News and in a full page section in each issue of Cal South Soccer Magazine. CB3 will be an exhibitor at Soccer Nation Expo and will conduct sessions on the pitch or in classrooms. At least once per year, CB3 will present a specialty training course for Cal South Coaching Education. Additionally, CB3 will work directly with Cal South Pro+ pools for performance training and testing..
