CAL SOUTH STATE REFEREE COMMITTEE NAMES KIA DEHPANAH
"We are very excited about having Kia join the State Referee Committee," said George Noujaim, the State Referee Administrator (SRA) for Cal South. "I have worked side by side with Kia and always admired his indoor game management. The knowledge he has gained from years of experience will be invaluable in helping us expand our efforts in the areas of indoor and beach soccer in Southern California."
Dehpanah has a long history of high level officiating on his resume. He was a US Soccer Federation (USSF) and National Intercollegiate Soccer Officials Association (NISOA) national referee for ten years, and has worked matches for Major League Soccer (MLS), the Women's United Soccer Association (WUSA), the A-League, and the United Soccer Leagues First Division (USL-1). Dehpanah was also appointed to numerous international assignments and earned a National Assessor's badge.
His indoor and beach soccer experience is vast, as Dehpanah has officiated matches for the Continental Indoor Soccer League (CISL), the World Indoor Soccer League (WISL), the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) and the Professional Area Soccer League (PASL), including the championship matches for the MISL and PASL. Dehpanah has officiated in the CONCACAF World Qualifying matches for beach soccer in Costa Rica. He is also the former Director of Officials for 619 FUTSAL, a United States Youth Futsal league in San Diego.
