Cal South Soccer Foundation Awards $117,500 in Grants to Assist with
April 11, 2012 (Fullerton, CA) - The Cal South Soccer Foundation announced today it has awarded eight non-profit organizations grants totaling $117,500 to assist with soccer field development, program development and to provide equipment. The eight organizations receiving the awards help to target soccer field, program and equipment needs throughout the Southern California area. The recipients were selected from applications gathered during the October 2011 grants cycle. The Foundation is excited to partner with such great organizations to help meet these needs. 2012 Award Recipients are as follows:
"On behalf of the Cal South Soccer Foundation Board of Directors, we are proud to have been able to provide funding that will help grow the game in southern California," said Foundation president David De Leon. "The Cal South Soccer Foundation will continue to seek programs and facilities that will help with our mission. And we would be remiss if we did not thank the Cal South [California State Soccer Association - South] for their continued support of the Foundation." The Foundation would like to thank all of the grant applicants for contacting the organization and submitting their proposals.
