SAN BERNARDINO, CA (June 6, 2011) - Slammers Futbol Club was crowned as Cal South National Cup champions for 2011 as the semi-finals and finals for the Girls Under-19 bracket were held at the Blast Soccer Complex in San Bernardino on June 4 and 5. Slammers FC decisively shut out So Cal Blues, 4-0 to capture the title. It is the third time in four years, and fourth time out of seven years, that a Slammers FC team has won the GU19 trophy.
The semi-finals and finals for the Boys U19 age group is scheduled for June 11-12, also to be held at the Blast Soccer Complex in San Bernardino.
Cal South National Cup champions (U12-U19) move on to the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series Far West Regionals to be held in Boise, Idaho from June 20-26, 2011. Regional champions in the U14 to U19 age groups move on to the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series National Championships to be held in Phoenix, Arizona from July 26-31, 2011.
