CAL SOUTH SOCCER MAGAZINE GETS A NEW LOOK!
September 08, 2010
FULLERTON, CA (September 8, 2010) - Featuring a sharp new look, the September 2010 issue of Cal South Soccer Magazine will be landing in the mailboxes of all Cal South members in the coming weeks.
Along with the overhaul given to its graphics, the new magazine features a first for the magazine. At the center, you will find a fold-out, pull-out poster which spotlights all of the Cal South State Cup and National Cup Olders champions, and then details their journey through the succeeding levels of their respective national series: the US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup and the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series. The poster works in the Far West Regional and National League champions from Cal South who also joined in on the hunt for national glory. Overall, Cal South youth teams won three National Championships and two National Presidents Cup titles.
The other national championship team from Cal South, the Women's U23 Eagles who won at the USASA Adult National Cup Finals, is featured in our regular Adult Soccer section (as well as on the cover). The feature article of the magazine is built around an interview writer Joe Curley did with Johnnie Garza, who was elected as Cal South's new president back in February. The article shows Garza's rise through the soccer ranks, showing how his commitment to the sport grew through the years, and gives a glimpse into the areas in which he would like to focus Cal South's growth in the coming years.
Because many of our leagues are still registering players well into the month, each year we have the September issue of the magazine mailed out in two waves. Most members should be receiving their magazines in the coming week, but there are some who will not get it until near the end of the month.
If you have not gotten your issue by October 1, it might be because your address is entered incorrectly in our CORIS system. Please contact your league's registrar to make sure your address information is current. We update our mailing list frequently, so any changes made to your information by your registrar should get picked up in time for the next magazine.
