CAL SOUTH BOARD PASSES AMENDMENT ON OFFICIAL CORPORATE NAME CHANGE

Organization Now Officially Named California State Soccer Association - South (Cal South)

FULLERTON, CA (June 8, 2010) - The Cal South Board of Directors passed an amendment at a Special Meeting of the Members on Saturday, June 5, 2010 preceding the regular monthly Board of Directors meeting, which officially changed the corporate name of the organization to the California State Soccer Association - South (Cal South).

The previously recognized corporate name of the organization was the California Youth Soccer Association - South (CYSA-South). A change became necessary on March 14, 2009 when the U.S. Soccer Federation National Council formally recognized Cal South as the adult state association for Southern California. The net effect was that the organization is now recognized as a joint state association, responsible for administering both youth and adult programs.

Article I of Cal South's Articles of Incorporation now reads as follows: The name of the corporation is California State Soccer Association - South (Cal South).
