Cal South Partners with U.S. Soccer and the LA84 Foundation to Present
Specialty Coaching Symposium at NCAA Women's College Cup

October 30, 2012 (Fullerton, CA) - Cal South has teamed up with U.S. Soccer and the LA84 Foundation to present a coaching symposium at the 2012 NCAA Women's College Cup in San Diego in late November. Titled, "An Inside Look at the U.S. Women's National Team Program," the symposium is scheduled to feature guest clinicians from the U.S. Soccer National Coaching Staff, including April Heinrichs, Women's Technical Director, and Jillian Ellis, Women's Development Director.

Coaches will have an opportunity to learn more about the changes that Heinrichs and Ellis have introduced into the U.S. Soccer Youth National Team program, as well as observe some of the training techniques and sessions that are taking place at the Federation level.

The field portions of the symposium will take place at the Francis Parker School in San Diego and the classroom sessions will take place at the Crowne Plaza-San Diego from November 30 through December 2, 2012. The symposium is being held in conjunction with the 2012 NCAA Women's College Cup, hosted at the University of San Diego's Torero Stadium. Participants will receive tickets to all three College Cup matches as part of their clinic fee.

Coaches holding an "A" License will receive three (3) Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for attending and submitting a post-symposium assignment. If you are a member of U.S. Soccer's CoachesNet or the Cal South Coaches Association, the cost of the 3-day clinic will be $150; the non-member fee is $195.
