HELP THE USA’s FIFA WORLD CUP™ BID REACH ONE MILLION SUPPORTERS

(September 1, 2010) - Next week, FIFA is coming to the U.S. to evaluate our World Cup bid up close.
This is a huge opportunity to make our best possible impression, so we need to go all out to show them just how much we want to host the FIFA World Cup™ in either 2018 or 2022.
Right now, our bid effort is just over 5,000 people shy of one million supporters. Since one million supporters was the initial goal of the bid effort, and since we want to leave no doubt in anyone's mind that the Game is in US, we need your help to hit the million mark before FIFA arrives on our shores.
From September 6-10, FIFA is sending a six-person inspection team to tour several of the stadiums and facilities at five selected cities that are part of our bid. After their visit, the team will report back to the FIFA Executive Committee, which is responsible for selecting the host nations to both World Cups.
When you sign the petition, you can also help support Los Angeles and San Diego as host cities for the FIFA World Cup™ too.
