|Cal South Launches Online Release and Transfer Process|
Cal South, in conjunction with Affinity Sports, recently launched an online version of its Release and Transfer Process within the Cal South Registration System. The new feature allows parents, registrars and District Commissioners to complete a release or transfer online from start to finish for the first time. Some of the more notable features to the online version of the Release and Transfer Process are:
1) Real-time tracking
2) A message alert system
3) Email notification at all stages of the process for parents, registrars and District Commissioners
4) Parents/families become the primary drivers by initiating the process online. The responsibility of contacting the head coaches of both the releasing and incoming teams is also placed expressly into their hands.
A new section on CalSouth.com is devoted to explaining the new online process to our members. The Release and Transfer Process section includes separate instructions for both parents and registrars, augmented by videos that explain the steps. Helpful "Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)" pages have also been created. You can access this section by visiting www.calsouth.com/en/release-transfer/.
If you have further questions about the new online version of our Release and Transfer Process, feel free to contact the League Account Management department for additional information at 714.451.1513.
IMPORTANT NOTE TO REGISTRARS: In order to make the release and transfer process run as smoothly as possible for all of the parties involved, please be aware of all incoming message alerts regarding the process, and respond to them in as timely a fashion as you can.

US Youth Soccer will present a National Youth Coaching Course in beautiful Laguna Niguel from February 20-24, 2013. The "Y" License is a "terminal-level" license in that there is not another license offered beyond it. In this sense it is the "A" License of coaching youth soccer.
"You will get more information from this course about how to coach U6-U12 players both on and off the field than from any other course offered," said Cal South Director of Coaching and Player Development, Steve Hoffman. "It really is the best and most informative course I have ever attended. I would love to see all Directors of Coaching go to the course, as it will be of immense help to them."
Note: "A" License coaches who take this course should be aware that it counts as 8 CEUs (Continued Education Units) and also renews their USSF "A" license for another five years. This course is limited to the first thirty registered coaches. For more information or to register, click
