|Text Messaging Option Added for Team Updates in Cal South Registration System|
Team Admins and Parents Can Opt-In to Receive Scoring Updates
Affinity Sports recently launched a new SMS Text Messaging service which is available for use through the Cal South Registration System. SMS stands for "Short Message Service," though it is more widely known simply as "text messaging," with which many of us have some familiarity. In short, the service will allow, at the request of the member, for short text messages to be sent from the Cal South Registration System to members with text message-capable phones
Registered members, such as team administrators, coaches and parents will be able to opt-in for team schedule and scoring updates. Team administrators will soon have the ability to use the Schedule Module to auto-populate scores into the system and send automatic updates. For now, those updates will be texted to any other parents or administrators on that team who have opted in for the SMS service. More information can be found here, or you can contact the Affinity Sports Support Center at 800.817.5977 or Cal South at 714.778.2972.
