Roster Freeze Is Lifting on November 30th
Be Aware that the State Cup/National Cup Draw/Cup-Tie Date Starts Up on Dec. 12th
Players Not Released by 11:59 pm on Dec. 11th Will Remain Cup-Tied to Current Team
If you or any of your players are considering changing teams or just being a free agent, now is the time to fill out your transfer/release paperwork. The current roster freeze for the 2009 fall season lifts on November 30th, but teams have only a small window of opportunity before the draw/cup-tie date for State Cup and National Cup on Dec. 12th.
In order to make sure your player is properly released, make sure to follow these steps:
1. Go to Calsouth.com. Under Resources/Forms and Downloads, you will find the Transfer/Release form to print out.
2. Fill out the top portion, and get all the required signatures necessary. (It is not necessary to get the player card and medical release form.) It's helpful if you can give the player's ID card number, but not imperative in order to get a release.
3. Make a copy of that form for your records and email or fax the form to your District Commissioner or Assistant DC. You can find that information on Calsouth.com, under About Us/Our Board of Directors.
4. Once you fax the form, your request will be processed.
The draw/cup-tie date for U9-U13 teams entered in Cal South State Cup and U12-U13 teams entered in the Cal South National Cup is December 12th. If your intentions are to get your player off the roster from a team entered into either tournament, you should do so by 11:59 pm on December 11th, otherwise they will be cup-tied to their current team through the end of Youngers play in the State and National Cups.
If you have players wishing to join your league or team whose transfers were previously denied during the roster freeze period, those transfers must be resubmitted to the District Commissioners or their assistants. If you have any further questions or concerns regarding the transfer process or roster freezes, please contact Sangita Nichols at 714-451-1501 or email@example.com.
