The US Soccer Foundation Passback Program Needs You!
Looking for Used or New Cleats from Cal South Clubs to Help Needy and Break World Record

Is your league looking for a great way to help give back to the world soccer community and aid the less fortunate among us? The U.S. Soccer Foundation's Passback Program is a joint effort between the Foundation and Eurosport to collect new and gently used soccer equipment and redistribute it to those in need. In an effort to raise awareness about Passback, the Foundation is planning to break the World Record for the Longest Chain of Shoes at the 2009 NSCAA Convention (held in St. Louis, MO, January 14-18). The current record stands at 10,500 shoes, so in order to break the record, we need to collect and display over 5,250 pairs. Thousands of pairs have already been collected, but to break the record, Passback is hoping that the leagues and clubs of Cal South will join others from across the country in letting more people know about this incredible program. If your league or club is interested in helping out with a contribution of new or used cleats, please click here. To learn more about the Passback Program, go to www.passback.org.

League VIP Updates:
Many leagues hold elections during the fall months, and invariably, will have a changing of the guard. As such, please help us keep our records updated, so we can rest assured that all important membership information is directed to the appropriate individuals and departments. The VIP list should include board positions including: name, address, phone and fax numbers, and email addresses. The updated lists should be emailed to your league account manager: Districts 1, 5, 6 and 7: vvillanueva@calsouth.com. Districts 2, 3 and 4: nwagner@calsouth.com. All districts may also be faxed to 714.441.0715.

Attention: A Brand New Billing Procedure for the New Year
The Cal South Corporate Office will be sending player registration invoices and statements via email beginning with the January 2009 cycle. The new procedure will realize a huge savings for the organization in both supplies and postage. Also, additional league administrators will receive the email billing. We are very excited to now be able to share the billing information with more league administrators at a lower cost. Be sure all league directories are up to date and current with the Cal South Corporate Office to ensure that each league president, treasurer and registrar receives the Cal South player registration invoices and statements.

Have you received your membership pass for 2008-2009?

There are numerous reasons why you haven't received it yet. Most of these have to do with incorrect or missing information in the CORIS system, such as your driver's license number, your date of birth, or even your phone number. If you have yet to receive your membership pass for this season, please contact your league registrar to make sure the correct information has been. Please ask your league registrar why you have not received your card, and give them any missing information they may need to complete the process. You can also contact Lisa Wolfs at the Cal South Corporate Office at 714.451.1520, and she will be more than happy to help you update your information in the CORIS system.
