Registrar Alert & Deadline Reminder:
Don't forget about your medical release forms! Get them in by the end of December!

Is it necessary to send copies of the Player Registration/Medical Forms to Cal South? Due to the advent of "online" registration, and also given that fact that Cal South no longer provides registration forms, it's easy to forget that Cal South does require a copy of the Player Registration/Medical Release forms as long as the following circumstances exist: If your league is utilizing online registration, there is no need to submit any copies of the medical release form to the corporate office, as the ELAs (Electronic Legal Agreements) are stored electronically. However, if your league is not using online registration, a single copy of the Player Registration/Medical Release form will meet your league's obligations.

Additionally, in order to help you facilitate and comply with the process and to allow for an adequate amount of time to gather and organize the packet, we have determined the end of December 2008 to be a suitable submission deadline for Fall registration paperwork. Additionally, please make sure to organize the forms smartly by placing them by team so we can easily retrieve if necessary. The Player Registration/Medical Release form is a legal document and should be treated and maintained as such.

Attention: A Brand New Billing Procedure for the New Year
The Cal South Corporate Office will be sending player registration invoices and statements via email beginning with the January 2009 cycle. The new procedure will realize a huge savings for the organization in both supplies and postage. Also, additional league administrators will receive the email billing. We are very excited to now be able to share the billing information with more league administrators at a lower cost. Be sure all league directories are up to date and current with the Cal South Corporate Office to ensure that each league president, treasurer and registrar receives the Cal South player registration invoices and statements. Also, be sure to to your Safe Senders email list for ease in future dealings with our office.

Risk Management Policy: A Reminder on Card Printing
All administrators MUST complete the Live Scan process; this includes all coaches, managers, team administrators, board members and tournament directors. A card can NOT be printed until the Corporate Office has received approval from the Department of Justice. The process can take up to 14 business days to complete. Please make sure that your league has correctly inputted or updated your information in the CORIS system. If you log into your CORIS account and see an R with a red circle around it, please contact Lisa Wolfs, Risk Management Coordinator, at 714.451.1520 or here for more information on getting your Live Scan done or on hosting an upcoming session.
