Registration dates that team administrators should know:
As we inch closer to important registration dates, it is central to the success of team that your administrators are well informed. On the forefront of any administrators' mind should be the availability of Cal South player cards and there usage dates. As such, below are dates that should be shared with your team administrators.
June 1st - First date that teams can be "activated" binding players to activated teams . A player may transfer from one team to another via a release/transfer form.
July 9th - Cal South cards can now be printed.
July 15th - First date that Cal South cards for the fall season can be used for competition.
July 31st - Last date that competitive and recreational players may transfer from one team another. (A Player Transfer Waiver Form will be required for movement.)
Has your roster changed after submitting travel papers?
It is very easy to make amendments to your travel roster. Please take the original travel roster that was approved by Cal South, make the amendment on that roster, submit it to your registrar for their signature, and then send it on over to the Cal South office for approval along with the application to travel! If you have any questions, please contact Amy Johnson at email@example.com.
Do Your Recreational Coaches need a Coaching License?
Now is a great time to schedule a Youth Module to get your recreational coaches licensed! Each league can request to host their own Youth Module course for their coaches. There are two recreational coaching license levels: YM1, which is required in order to coach under 9 years old, YM3, which is required to coach kids 9 years old and
above. At each Youth Module course, the coaches will be exposed to topics including the philosophy of coaching, prevention and care of soccer injuries, laws of the game, principles of attack and defense, and coaching tactics, to name a few. If this sounds like the type of opportunity you would like to present to your recreational coaches, please view the "How To" by clicking here. You may also contact
Chrissy Teyechea at Cteyechea@calsouth.com with any questions or concerns which you may have.
Registrars: A way to make printing cards easier for administrators!
Registrars, please remember to put your administrators in the CORIS system prior to their going through the Live Scan Process. This will make it a lot easier to get them updated. If you should have any questions, please feel free to contact Lisa Wolfs @ 714-451-1520.
