Save your League $500! Sanctioned Tournament Applications are due April 30th!
If you are planning to hold a tournament, you should get your application in to the Corporate Office NOW. Applications must be postmarked by April 30th and include the $100 application fee. Anything that comes in to the office after April 30th is subject to a $500 late fee in addition to the regular $100 application fee. The next deadline is October 31st. Administrators: Do you need to get your Risk Management redone?
If you had your fingerprints done anytime between March 1st 2003 to July 30th 2005 and your Risk Management status in CORIS is still "SENT," you will need to get your fingerprints done again. Please click here and follow the Live Scan process as listed. If you had your fingerprints done after August 1st 2005 and the status is still "SENT," please contact Lisa Wolfs at lwolfs@calsouth.com with your full name and date of birth, or fax a copy of your Request for Live Scan to 714.441.0715. Your Registrar will only be able to print a card for you if your status says "APPROVED" in CORIS.

Hey, Rec Leagues! Summer is approaching fast & now is the time to host a Youth Module Course!
A checklist detailing"How To Host A Youth Coaching Course" has been posted on CalSouth.com. The Sponsor must fill out a hosting form and send it to the Cal South State office at least 30 days prior to the starting date of the clinic. You can download the hosting form by clicking here.

Registrars: Start doing your Risk Management Filters now!
Cards may only be printed for administrators with Approved Risk Management status. In order to see who has "Sent" status, log in to CORIS. Go to Administrator Look-Up, then under "Risk Filter By" choose whichever status you would like to filter out. Leave the "Search For" field blank and hit the Search button. If your league is interested in hosting a Live Scan Session, you will need to follow these easy steps. First, fill out the Request to Host a Live Scan Session form, then fax the form to 714.441.0715, "Attn. Lisa Wolfs", or email it to lwolfs@calsouth.com. Once you get a confirmation from US Fingerprinting you are ready for the session. If you should have any questions, please feel free to contact Lisa Wolfs at 714.451.1520.

Registrar Certification Classes: Classes now posted!
As of January 1, 2007, Cal South has implemented a League Certification program (CLR) to meet the demands of today's soccer organization. The certification is an education-based training program designed to elevate the knowledge of all league registrars with an emphasis placed on solidifying and distinguishing the role of the Primary League Registrar. Certification classes are posted on the CORIS Event Manager. Upcoming classes will be held in Irvine, Burbank, and Ontario. All league registrars with less than 2 years experience must attend a class. If you have any questions regarding the certification process, please contact the League Account Management department at 714.451.1513.

2007 ODP Camps are now open for registration. Space is limited, apply now!
Information for the Cal South ODP Summer Camp Program is now available on our website (click here for access). We offer both residential and day camps. Leagues can take advantage of a significant discount by sending in 20 or more applications together. Or an individual team can submit 5 or more together and get a team discount. See Rain in the Forecast? Know ahead of time if your State or National Cup games are cancelled.
Cal South has a State and National Cup Mudline that is updated with any game changes due to inclement weather. The numbers to call are 714.765.7646 or 714.999.3444. There are also specific location mudlines that are available on the State Cup and National Cup pages on the website. (Click here to access.)

Need to View Team Information But Can't Get Into CORIS?
You may need to simply have your user name and password reset. Please contact your league registrar and they will be able to reset your user name and password so you can log in. Once you are logged in you can view your team roster, personal information, and even sign up for tournaments. You can also call the office at 714.778.2972 or 888.429.7276.

Traveling to a non-Cal South Sanctioned Tournament? You need to fill out Travel Papers!
Please visit our website to download the appropriate papers that must be completed. All that needs to be submitted is US Youth Soccer's Travel Application, the travel roster with the league registrar's signature, and the approved application to host a tournament from the tournament wishing to attend. These forms can be submitted through the mail and/or emailed to ajohnson@calsouth.com. For further information, please click here.

League Fall Season 07-08: Quick snapshot of the billing process.
Even though the spring '07 and fall '07-'08 seasons are now open, it's important to review one very important Cal South business rule. Regardless of the season, an "accepted" player will generate an invoice. Make certain that when you click on "Save Application Changes" with the purpose of clearing player, that this is the action you want. If you have any questions regarding the clearing process or would like to know more about the billing process, please contact the League Account Management department at 714.451.1513.
