REMINDER: Protect your Players with Cal South Insurance
Playing in Tournaments or Otherwise - You have to play under Cal South cards in order to be covered (travel papers required for non-sanctioned tournaments)
Cal South has gone to great lengths and expense to build a second-to-none Insurance Package in order to help protect our members. However, if you are not playing with a Cal South card at the time of an injury, you will not be covered by our insurance. Players and administrators are covered with Cal South insurance for any Cal South sanctioned tournament. If a tournament has not been sanctioned by us, you must
file travel papers in order to receive coverage. Filing travel papers has never been easier and it's free.
* Other supplemental coverage offered by non-Cal South entities is far inferior to that of Cal South - in fairness to your players, don't get burned, and be sure to do the right thing.

League V.I.P. Updates: Our version of the White Pages!

As such, please help us keep our records updated so we can ensure that all contact information is directed to the appropriate individuals and departments. The VIP list should include board positions including: name, address, phone number and email addresses. The updated lists should be emailed to email@example.com or faxed to 714 441-0715.
Time to get your recreational coaches licensed!
Now is the time to set up a Youth Module coaching education course for your recreational coaches. Each league can request to host their own Youth Module course for their coaches. There are two recreational coaching license levels: a YM1, which is needed to coach under 9 years old, and a YM3, which is required to coach 9 years old and above. At each
Youth Module course, the coaches will be exposed to topics including the philosophy of coaching, prevention and care of soccer injuries, laws of the game, principles of attack and defense, and coaching tactics to name a few. If this sounds like an opportunity you would like to present to your recreational coaches, please contact our coaching education department at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 714.778.2972 ext. 1553.
