The 2012 Urban Soccer Symposium

The Urban Soccer Symposium hosts urban soccer programmers and speakers from across the nation dedicated to improving the field of sports-based youth development. In 2011, the U.S. Soccer Foundation and the Urban Soccer Collaborative hosted over 105 urban soccer programmers and featured motivational talks from athletes such as Notah Begay III and Dominique Dawes. Remarks from industry leaders, break-out sessions and "Captiol Hill Day" are a few of the events that will be held during the Symposium. The 2012 Urban Soccer Symposium will take place April 16-19, 2012 in Washington, D.C. at the Georgetown University Hotel & Conference Center.

Schedule of Events:

  • Monday (4/16) - Symposium kicks off at noon with an afternoon of workshops followed by fun evening activities. Lunch is included.
  • Tuesday (4/17) - Sessions and workshops followed by a networking reception and a fun evening event. Breakfast and lunch included.
  • Wednesday (4/18) - Sessions and workshops followed by a networking reception and a fun evening event. Breakfast and lunch included.
  • Thursday (4/19) "Capitol Hill Day" event including meetings with your Representatives, scheduled by the U.S. Soccer Foundation.
