UCLA Women’s Soccer Wins NCAA Title on Lavrusky’s Golden Goal - The UCLA women’s soccer team won its first NCAA championship in program history on Sunday afternoon, defeating the Florida State Seminoles, 1-0, in overtime. The title represents UCLA’s 110th NCAA championship in school history, the most in the nation. Cal South ODP alumnus Kodi Lavrusky scored the game-winner for the Bruins in the 97th minute. HYDRATION STRATEGIES: Establishing a fluid intake and replenishment plan to avoid dehydration - Common sense tells us that we need to monitor our fluid intake during high heat days. Olympic gold medalist and recently named FIFA Women's Player of the Year Abby Wambach is coming to the LA Galaxy Soccer Center in Torrance, CA on March 24 and your daughter or son can play soccer with her! Abby's event is a fundraiser for Cal South TOPSoccer, a community-based recreational program specifically designed to help athletes with physical and mental disabilities participate in soccer.
