37 Cal South Teams Head to Hawaii for the 2013 US Youth Soccer Far West Regional Championships, June 17-23
Thirty-seven teams from Cal South will continue their quest of a national championship title on Monday as three days of round-robin preliminary matches begin in Honolulu, Hawaii at the 2013 US Youth Soccer Far West Regional Championships. Full story, scoreboard links and list of teams inside.

Cal South Teams Win 3 Championship Titles at the 2013 US Youth Soccer Region IV Presidents Cup

BU14 Downtown SC Black, BU16 NADO and GU14 Platinum FC won titles on Sunday morning, June 16 at the 2013 US Youth Soccer Region IV Presidents Cup in Boise, Idaho. All champions now move on to the National Presidents Cup in Auburndale, Florida in July. List of champions and details inside.

Cal South Donates $218,700 to Affiliate Member Teams Bound for Regional Championship Events
The Cal South Board of Directors recently announced that the organization would provide $218,700 in subsidies and entry fee payments to its Affiliate Member teams, youth and adult, advancing to regional competition series this summer. Cal South will donate subsidies to 54 teams attending several regional competitions taking place in June.

Hydration Strategies: Establishing a fluid intake and replenishment plan to avoid dehydration - Common sense tells us that we need to monitor our fluid intake during high heat days. Thirst is a poor indicator of hydration status. If you wait until you are thirsty to drink, it is probably already too late to counter the effects of dehydration. Having a solid plan for pre-, during and post-event hydration is key to avoiding dehydration in your athletes.
