Rene Miramontes

A member of U.S. Soccer's National Instructional Coaching Staff and a National Staff Coach for Region IV, Miramontes has a deep connection to Cal South, having won the Cal South Coach of the Year award in 1994, in the course of two decades of service with various Cal South clubs.

Miramontes has coached and taught at nearly every level of soccer:

• Assistant coach, Colorado Rapids, 1997-2000
• Technical advisor, San Diego State Aztecs, 2002-2006
• Head coach, Cuyamaca College, 1993 - won NSCAA National Coach of the Year award
