LA84 Classes

THE LA84 FOUNDATION TEAMS UP WITH CAL SOUTH
TO EXPAND COACHING EDUCATION IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA

Thanks to a generous Coaching Education grant from the LA84 Foundation, Cal South is thrilled to offer numerous subsidized coaching courses.

"D" CLASSES

The "D" License is strongly recommended for all competitive coaches of players 15 years old and up. This 36-hour course is the most comprehensive course offered and is preparatory for national licensing.

"E" CLASSES

E License: This is the entry level course which is mandatory for all competitive level coaches. 18 hour pass/fail course with mix of field and classroom instruction.

SPECIALTY CLASSES

Specialty clinics with instruction and focus in areas of special interest.

YOUTH MODULE 1 (YM1)

YM 1: Youth Module 1 is for U-9 and under recreational coaches. One hour of classroom instruction followed by two hours of demonstration and trial.

YM 3: Youth Module 1 is for U-10 and older recreational coaches. Two hour of classroom instruction followed by three hours of demonstration and trial.

About the LA84 Foundation:

The LA84 Foundation was established to manage Southern California's share of the surplus from the highly successful 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. The Foundation received $93 million at its inception and, since then, has invested $164 million in sports programs serving more than two million youth in the eight Southern California counties of Los Angeles, Imperial, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, Santa Barbara and Ventura.
